The Forbes Medical Centre is a Mixed Billing Practice. This means that patient billing is at each Doctor’s discretion on each occasion a patient visits and not all patients will be bulk billed.
Fees vary depending on the type of consultation and the time involved.
Children under 16 years of age will be bulk billed except for pre-anaesthetic checks which will be billed at the individual doctor’s discretion.
Aged pensioners, Veterans Affairs and Health Care Card holders may be bulk billed however these patients may not automatically be bulk billed because they have a concession card.
Fees may apply for some dressings provided by our practice. Please see separate notice available at Reception.
Fees apply for prescription requests however in most cases patients will be required to see a doctor to obtain a new or repeat prescription.
Payment is required at the time of consultation by cash or EFTPOS.
Out of pocket expenses may apply for specialist and allied health service providers. Patients are advised to contact these providers to check if any fees apply.
